What's New Lane got that Fielding Lane or anywhere else in Ossy has'nt got!
A big flashing sign To tell drivers it's a 30 zone and to be very careful driving up New Lane. We could do with things like that in a lot of other roads not just New Lane in Ossy... But of course, I forgot.. P.B. Lives in New Lane doesn't he? And he takes care of his own in... New Lane.. And there is another sign in New Lane a very nice sign telling us to drive carefully etc. Come on P.B. Look after everyone else instead of yourself. A lot of other roads are far more dangerous than NEW LANE!

And New Lane isn't even in his ward!!!!!
The road surface isn't too bad either. Just before the election he put in chits to have the pot holes on a number of streets filled in (Haworth St being the main one that I've noticed). Two weeks before the elections a little man came around and drew white lines around all the pot holes - obviously to look like they were doing something. Six weeks later and they still haven't been filled in!!!!!!! |

They ( Lancashire County Council ) have added some of those signs on the approach to the Brittania crossroads as well. they have also changed the speed limit around that area in readiness for the new roundabout we are getting up there.
Personally I think the flashing 30 sign's are rubbish. I think the ones that actually tell you what speed you are doing makes you realise how fast you are doing and how easy it would be to get caught by the mobile speed cameras
