Suprise, suprise.
According to tonight's Lancashire Evening Telegraph, actress Wendy Peters who plays Cilla in Coranation Street, is from Oswaldtwistle. Does anyone know if she was born here, or moved here? So that's another Corrie actress we have to add to Vicky Entwistle and Julie Hesmondalgh to add to our hall of fame.

Cilla's sister is Neils sister best friend, I think they live in Clitheroe. Lindsay (Cilla's sister) played the lesbian barmaid in Shameless if that helps, she is also going into corrie. I saw her a few weeks back at my nephews birthday party.
So i think they must come form over that way because Neils sis went to school with her and it was St Disgustings I think. not sure will ask Neil! so there you go no flipping help at all was I! |

Wendy came from Wilpshire, and lives in London not Oswaldtwistle?
Surely not, it was in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, and I believe everything I read, so it must be true.

She lives in London now. She stays in a family owned appartment in Manchester when filming. No I will not give you the address or the phone number so don't ask
