No, unfortunately that bit was true. It has just occurred to me perhaps you read an article somewhere spignific, where it said "Davy Jones, late of the Monkees" and misunderstood the meaning?

Can confirm he's still live and kicking , just watched a live interview with him on one of the news channels , seems there is a bit of controversy brewing about wether the Monkees should be inducted into the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" or not , seems a lot of folks in the music business think they should be illegible since they were an industry manufactured group like the Partridge family/Milli Vanilli et al ........
