David Lloyd
David Lloyd went to Accy Tech (up Ossy), and played cricket for Accrington, and then on to Lancashgire CC where he was captain. He played for England many times, became the England Manager / Coach and went on to be a Cricket Commentator (or Pundit sometimes). A true Cricketing legend, and a real Accy Lad.

Re: David Lloyd
He is a thoroughly nice bloke and,for my money, the BEST commentator on the game.He has a wicked sense of humour and it's great to hear such a broad Accy accent on Sky Tv.

Re: David Lloyd
Our family once spent a summer holiday with Lloydy's family in that most glamourous of locations.....Fleetwood!This was years ago;I recall my brother David playing cricket on the beach with Graham LLoyd;Lloyd snr was a pal of my dad's from their time at Accrington CC.I often think of it when I see him on Sky;he has done well for himself.

He still played a bit during the winter when he was playing cricket for Lancashire. I reffed him once, from memory he was playing for Baxenden in the East Lancs league. One of the nicest blokes you could meet.

Re: David Lloyd
An dont forget his crowning glory. He made a few appearances for Stanley as a young lad , although he supports Derby.

Wouldn't surprise me, as his family were connected with that church.
