I recall the Mystic Meg debate was that she had Russian ancestry, though more the truth they reckoned was that she lived in Russia Street.

I have heard that the first penalty in the football league was scored by Wolverhapton Wanderers against Accrington Stanley - or was it against Accrington Reds? |

It was Accrington FC. The current Stanley club is the third league team for the town. Different from Accrington FC and the original Accrington Stanley.
