Civic Arts Centre

I'm starting to build up the website and all the events for the Arts Centre.

Please feel free to take a look around the website (let me know if any links aren't working or any spelling mistakes, etc).

www.civicartscentre.co.uk

Over the next few months (and hopefully years) I'll be adding to this as new events and activities are scheduled.

You're duplicating information in the 'About us' and 'Contact us' section. You also need to be more specific on 'Directions' - say where the theatre is located on Union Road and say that union road is the main throughfare in Oswaldtwistle.

Re: Civic Arts Centre

Looks good.

Are there concessions, for the book club for instance, or does everyone pay the same?

Re: Civic Arts Centre

Thanks for the constructive comments - it's a work in progress but will definitely make amends to the directions.

By putting most things at £2, I've tried to make it as reasonable as possible so that people can attend. However, I won't want to turn anyone away and so will accept donations if people can't afford the £2.

Re: Civic Arts Centre

It might just be me but I find it really hard to see the date at the top left of the screen and think the colours are too close for it to be clear.

Don't forget men only work in 16 colours

No, I think it's very reasonable.

Just thought, if like at theatre productions, there are concessions, they should be mentioned.

Like the sound of the Book Club, and will hopefully attend myself.

The first meeting of the book club will be tied into the Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food and Culture - so for just £2, not only will you get to talk about books but you'll get delicious croissants, locally made jams, fresh ground coffee and speciality teas.

I know, there's a bit of a problem with the date. Basically, I've designed the website on the back of some basic templates of which the date is part of. I want the website colours to be the specific purples as that will tie in with all the livery for the Arts Centre, but the date colour is fixed by the template.

I'm not brilliant at working in code but it looks like I'm going to have to use it to sort out this problem.
