I use AVG free Zonealarm free Search & Destroy and Adaware all free and you get updates for free too.
http://www.computeractive.co.uk/downloads/ This is a great site for free downloads and they have a magazine in the shops "Computeractive" which is only £1:59 good straight forward advice and help.
