Whats a good free anti virus program
Been using Norton for years and my renewal date is coming up soon , seem to remember reading awhile back that one of our "tech" members saying these pay sites were a rip off , .......anyone reccomend a good site to use thats free and easy for a computer idiot like me to download and install

AVG Free - Download Free Antivirus Software
Most people I know use it. I have used it for many years and recommend it.

I have used AVG free fer years steely n i'm a complete numpty, a guy who worked at blackburn job centre told me they used it, so i reasoned if its good enough fer them.

Love AVG, couldn't stand Norton as it made the PC slow, ages to start up and shut down

I used AVG for years too, but recently it has become advert laden & overbloated so now I use Avast and IMO it is less obtrusive & works extremely well.

ive got avira at the minute the free version ... before that it was avast and before that it was AVG ...

ok folks , just installed AVG , took a bit of tweaking to get the toolbars sorted at one point I had 6 of them taking up half the screen , will see how it goes

yeh can set it to do a daily scan at whatever time mate, i do.

avast or avira
avg isnt the bad boy it once was and will reduce system performance greatly just as badly as what norton does. absolute garbage and i stopped using it and instaling it on systems years ago after it got turned into a profit making company

We changed from AVG to Avast when they changed AVG to version 9. It was great before that.
