Why no Christmas Tree for Church??

Once again Church is being forgotten. There is no Christmas Tree this year at Manor Gardens. Why??
It's location is surely a prime one for it sits at the side of a major gateway into the borough of Hyndburn (Dunkenhalgh Way/M65) and yet what have we got. Blue fairy lights sprawled over a couple of foliage absent trees that aren't even the same bleedin' shade!! They look a mess.
Clayton has the same set-up across from the Hare and Hounds and they look ok as they are the same colour. Clayton also has a proper tree.
As does Rishton...
...Great Harwood...
...Oswaldtwistle.

Last years offering was absolutely pathetic (see below) and was obviously the last one left at the depot from 2006 stock.

Guess us Church folk don't get to celebrate Christmas like every other town....

Re: Why no Christmas Tree for Church??

You should bring this up with the Church Area Council. Have a look here and find out when the next meeting is. Maybe the Area Council will fund a tree for next year. If you phone the Area Councils you will be able to submit an open forum question about the tree issue and what they intend to do next year.

I know it wont help this year but if you don't ask you don't get.
