Colliers Arms
Does anyone have any info on a public house at Green Haworth known as the Colliers Arms. A meeting took place there in 1833!

Re: Colliers Arms
Don't know if you're still interested, but I think I;ve just bought the old Colliers Arms at Green Haworth! It's now known as Biggins farm. I was at the library today and discovered that fact. Do you know any more about it?

Re: Colliers Arms
There were 4 families living at Biggins in 1841.
Two of them give their occuptions as farmers. One of them is Mary Haworth. she is also listed in an old directory as a landlady, Beer Seller. Retlaw. |

Re: Colliers Arms
Hi all,
Not sure if this thread has gone completely cold but on the off chance that anyone is still listening, I have just discovered a link to the Colliers Arms in my family tree, in the Haworth family then passed down to the Hartley's as a Haworth daughter married into that family, around the late 1800s - early 1900s based on census records. It says they were victuallers at that pub, near Biggins Farm, Bedlam, etc. I don't have specific questions really but am investigating my family tree in every which way, so any further information or interesting discussion is appreciated.
