Scouts & cadets

The next photograph from my late father's collection is a group of Scouts and what look like army cadets (the latter with their commanding officer, resplendent in breastplate and fine moustache).
Once more, I'm assuming they are from Accrington. I can't make out any badges or insignia that would show what troop and regiment they are from. The uniforms ought to be identifiable.
What event would have brought them together? The Silver Jubilee of George V?

Proper mish-mash that lot, looks like Scots guards Bear skin buttons in groups of 3, Household cavalry life guards tall helmets white horse tails & your man in the middle, Lancers flat topped helmet, the rest could be anything as the uniforms were generic at the time, but going on what can be identified I assume they belong in one way or another to the Household division.
