Kay & Grimshaw Ltd (Accrington)

Whilst clearing out some boxes of items at home, I came across a 'Pewter' Tankard marked K&G (Kay & Grimshaw Ltd Accrington) with the inscription 'J A Watt Esq' Director 1943-1949. Dated July 29 - 1949. I've discovered 'K&G' were associated with Brewing........(also inscribed on Tankard was 'Good Health'. The Tankard was purchased by myself many years ago (Market Stall), a few dents but, still in very good condition. Can anyone fill in any more details about 'K&G'. Many thanks.

Re: Kay & Grimshaw Ltd (Accrington)

They were bottlers more than brewers. premises in Jacob St in the 1950s. Search on here for the thread about brewers and pop bottlers. A J WattS, company secretary, lived in 29 Highergate Rd, Huncoat
