Anybody wishing for the return of that hideous, yet intriguing piece of Accrington memorabilia, please oh please could you just type a little something here and I'll see if I can talk some sense into the Arndale Management!!!!

For those of you who have never seen or don't remember the clock... well believe you-me; this thing is well worth a butchers!

Remember guys, I need numbers, or I won't have a leg to stand on!

I want the clock back too, and it really saddened me when it was taken down as I always loved looking at it as a child, it wasn't too often I managed to see it go off and I always thought it was wonderful, never seen anything like it!

YES!
If there is possibly anything you can do to get it back more power to your elbow. Do an AccyWeb search and you'll find we have had threads on the subject before. A few years ago the Observer even reported that we'd saved it! (Unfortunately nobody seemd to have told the Arndale people.)

I have not taken my grandchildren to accrington precinct because the clock is no longer there, there is not much else to interest them in accy so I usually shop without taking them, I used to come up from Bury with the kids to see the clock, and was very annoyed to find it gone one day, get the clock back sam please.

God yes, Accy town centre could do with as much as possible to bring in local people.

Besides, everyone used to just meet 'under the clock'. Was soo much easier.

I'm actually wondering if any childhood sweethearts met on a first date under the clock, there would be a nice PR thing for ya.

Unfortunately the only person I still see that I ever met there, was me father and I dont think that counts lmao x

Yes, it might have looked hideous to some folk, but there were a lot of us who thought it gave the town a bit of erm......individuality

Have you tried getting the support of the clock's creator?

If you look on his site here, you'll see the Arndale clock featured.

Hideous thing I remember taking my kids to see it when it was first installed, they were mesmerised!!
