Rist Wires Chimney
Well in another thread
http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/s...333#post102333 I posed the question how many bricks did it take to make the chimney at Rist Wires, Someone out there will actually know the answer because when they were knocking it down Rists had a competition asking their employees the very same question. I believe the lady that was closest was awarded a brick from the chimney with the correct number engraved in it. So would it be possible to trace the winner? Would she be able to give us the answer? Could we see a photo of the brick? I believe the Observer published the results of the competition around that time. |
