St James's church

History:-
Firstly, I've seen a number of contradictions regarding the history of St James's church (so if I've got it wrong, I apologise).

St James's chapel was founded in 1546 the chapel was taken down and rebuilt on a larger scale in 1826.
From the outside, it is a plain stone structure with a tall bell tower in which a number of Accrington's famous nori bricks are used.

Originally, the belfry contained six musical bells which could be heard far and wide but as time went on that number increased and is now home to around 12 bells.
In addiction to the chapel a church was also erected around 1840 in the form of a cross and is dedicated to Christ.

Enjoy

Re: St James's church

I couldn't open the video either which is a shame, message says 'the page's address isn't valid' whatever that means. The pictures are great - very impressive.

Thanks d, glad you enjoyed them.
I'm still unsure why the clips play for some an not others (I've checked the settings etc), the first one won't play for me but the others do

I thought every lady had a lace edged silk pinny for those superior occasions...are you telling me that now only Freemasons have these?
