Yes,sorry to say Mick your on the wrong side of the bridge.As you look at the old photo the street that is just visible to the left is saddler st.Where the tinkerbrook garage is now.And the buildings are no longer there,they have been replaced by the units.

This is very interesting, thanks to mthead and mick. Did all the towns up there have trams? I noticed the tracks all the way up the main road in Rawtenstall, even the passing loop outside woolworths, it's unusual for such small towns to have trams.

thats definately the australian terry the white gable on the left of the photo,was a thwaites house used to drink underage in it, the last landladys still batting lives local,have seen her a few times in the stag when we have our get togethers for accyweb.
