Anyone know anything about it. Apparently it was near the Con Club in Clayton

Appears to have been a boxing venue in the thirties but you may know that already. Reports were in the Observer so you might try back issues at the library who may also have info about where it was. Sounds a pretty grand venue but may have just been a shed or something!

I saw some old Boxing posters with it as the venue and I saw on the web it was used for boxing on a night in 1936.

Under the stand at Widnes Vikings ground. Part of the under stand area is used by the local boxing club.
