wanted any e j riley
hi there
am a big collector of e j riley . am all ways looking to add to my collection of snooker /billiard cues .cricket bats /footballs . am all so looking to find peaple who work at e j riley over the years as am looking to do more on the history of the company on the internet . thanks graham |

My great grandad worked there - first at Accrington then at Blackpool. He was killed in 1959 when a car knocked him off his bike whilst cycling home from work.

In my book 'An Accrington Mixture' there is an essay by Jean Webster about EJs. I think Jean will be RIP by now. She did live up Laneside.If alive, she will be worth interviewing.
EJ was a director of the Norbreck Hydro Hotel Company, Blackpool The Accrington Grammar School Old Boys have a shield which he presented for sporting competition between the houses. |

There's already a brilliant history been done on E.J. Riley's. Its on the internet now if you care to look. May not be about the actual workers, buts its really good.

I have a very old hockey stick with the makers stamp E J Riley Ltd Accrington. All the research I have tried has given me no info at all. I wonder if you have any info -- I could e-mail photos if that would help.

Hello Mr E J Riley collector. Would you know the answer to this question please. In times past, were the jackets of the Accrington Pipe Band made from the felt used on E J Riley billiard tables?

When I was a kid my Nan had a couple of cleaners, they were called Mary and Alice and one of their surnames was Brockbank, I think they worked for EJ Rileys.
