GCHQ are in the process of recruiting more cryptologists. They've set a little test. Can any of you lot break this code and provide the answer?

Can you crack it?

I'll give you a little clue for a starter. Look at the letters - they only run a-f.

Enjoy!

They run a to f because it's hex code.
Which is used for machine code etc on computers.

2 columns of 8 = 16

Then 10 rows.

Thanks for the clues but if I could be bothered to decipher it I would do what Allen Turing did and build a bomb.
Besides, I'm a little too long in the tooth to sign the official secrets act again!

You don't need a bomb - if you can do a medium soduku, then you can break it.

I might not need a bomb, but like all good Civil Servants, I will requisition the parts for one so that they don't cut next years budget.
