Events space

There is currently a market type event on Broadway but the events space is empty. Explain that one because I'm stuck for words.

I believe they had booked that wonderful entertainer 'The Invisible Man' to entertain the masses, however they are now refusing to pay him because the authorities want proof that he turned up.
