Community First Responders
Hi folks.
Just wondering if there would be any interest in setting up any CFR (Coummunity First Responders) within the Hyndburn area. As you'll see if you look at my profile I work on the Ambulance Service and that I deal with St John Ambulance as Divisional Superintendent for the Accrington Unit. There is no need for anyone to join SJA to become a CFR but if it gets going I think that the training may take place there, near to the Globe Centre, or maybe at the Ambulance Station on Broad Oak Rd, but I think that is decided by LAS HQ. It has been suggested that I see if there is any interest in CFR being set-up in various areas of Hyndburn i.e. Stanhill, Rishton, Gt Harwood, Baxenden, Clayton-Le-Moors etc. If anyone is wanting more infomation please let me know and I'll get all the info required from LAS HQ about setting any CFR up in any area.
