Exclamation Huncoat - whats it like?

Hi Guys,

Thinking of moving into one of those new houses on the honeycomb estate in Huncoat - any advice on what the area is like as i've heard it's not too clever?

Re: Huncoat - whats it like?

The village is fine but because of school nursery post office shop 3 pubs motorway access and railwaystation it is becoming poular. The Within Grove estate is not to clever but it will be fixed.

The estate is a dump but don't let that put you off because the village where the new houses are is nice, the new houses have also been built out of the way so you wont get much hassle from the village kids which are hassle free any way!!!

Re: Huncoat - whats it like?

Despite what the council thinks Within Grove is Accrington not Huncoat.
The village boundry is the little steam that runs through what I know as Clegg Woods accross from the Bolton Avenue football pitch. There is the village and then the industial estate and associated housing. The council thought they were being smart dumping a problem area in a different "area"
If Within Grove was a posh residential area it would convieniently be Accrington!!!

Newbies slip up replying to ancient threads - I did it too
Sometimes it provokes new discussion - even though the person who asked the question originally may never return to read them

Re: Huncoat - whats it like?

We did part of the Huncoat trail the other week. I was disgusted with all the rubbish and waste around the place. I couldnt believe you could fill the canal with so much crap. Someone please clean it up!!
