Re: Leader's (ha,ha) viewpoint!!!

I get what you mean jimmy.. were do these percentage figures come from?
I saw a programme about health issues on telly when an "expert" informed us that high blood pressure affected 60 million people in the UK... thats a high percentage considering the population of the UK is just under 60 million!

I know I fill out a questionaire about once a month for HBC one of them was on crime but not sure how many people they are sent to and its certainly not the majority of households so where they get 86% I dont know.

That's a bit of a daft statistic.

Everyone wants to feel safe in their homes.

You can sign up to take part - it's called Feedback, I do it too - there's probably something on the HBC website about it.

It depends on what, and how, question was asked.

If it said 'do you feel secure in your home', and 14% replied yes, then you could assume, perhaps rightly or perhaps wrongly, that the other 86% didn't.

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.
Benjamin Disraeli.

Or John Diefenbaker: Politicians use statistics like a drunk uses a lamp post: more for support than illumination.
