New Scout Group in Huncoat

Hi - apologies if this is posted in the wrong section

I am a Cub Scout Leader for the last 4 years, and will be opening a new scout group in Huncoat in January next year.

The group will open with a Beaver Section (6 -8 yrs) and Cub Section (8 - 10 1/2 yrs).

At the moment I am looking for young people who would be interested in joining one of the above sections.

It is hoped that we can recruit a Scout Leader so that we can open the Scout section by the end of next year.

Ha Ha - No, my cubs didn't go on it this year it was just the Scouts.

New Challenge in an area that really needs something like this for the kids. I won't be leaving my current group in the lurch though and will help support whoever takes over from me

good to hear your doing it in Huncoat where will you be holding the meetings etc

if there is any help you need i am the local ward councillor for huncoat and would offer any help i can

all being well when we get our community centre up and running more groups will be able to uuse what will be excellent facilities

Update : Great News, we have a Scout Leader so it it looking like we are going to open with a three sections:

Beavers 6 - 8 yrs
Cubs 8 - 10 1/2 yrs
Souts 10 1/2 - 14 yrs
