Snow on Tuesday

Just noticed snow is forecast for Tuesday. That gives HBC three days to prepare their gritters. It will be interesting to see if they are mobilised after the debacle of a few weeks ago.

Re: Snow on Tuesday

Highways are responsible for the roads which includes gritting and is the responsibility of Lancashire County Council, not Hyndburn Borough Council.

Which debacle are you referring to? The gritters have been out when needed all winter so far.

Re: Snow on Tuesday

I think it was 2 weeks ago this coming Sunday. It had snowed much of the afternoon and I had to drive from Clayton to Huncoat and back about 7pm and was just following tyre tracks down whalley rd and up burnley rd

Re: Snow on Tuesday

It wasn't the council's fault that it snowed. Grit isn't a magic wand.
