WHILE ON HOLIDAY IN SETTLE ,BY THE BANKS OF THE RIBBLE ,WE MANAGED TO SEE THE ODD 1 OR 2 BUT WAS TOLD SALMON SEAON WAS THE END FOR OCT THIS AREA.....

Starts in Febuary in some places Think that is when its starts on the Tay but the winter rain will have made the water muddy. One of the best places I have seen them is on the River Tieth at Callander were there is a pool they rest in and has the advantage of the poolnot being allowed to be fished.

Only on Salmon Rivers. Not all Rivers have Salmon in em.
