Has something changed at Winter Hill?

Went away a couple of weeks ago, got back last week and our PVR has stopped working. It's an Alba ALDTR160 from Argos - a cheapie, but a rebadged tried-and-tested piece of kit.

Reinstallation from scratch picks up some tv and radio channels (but not all), but they don't come up with a picture or audio. It seems to be all the BBC ones and adult channels, but there's just a black screen and no audio. The bar across the bottom of the screen shows the now/next program name. The aerial cable goes to the TV via the PVR but the TV is fine, so it's not that the aerial is unplugged...

I'm thinking it's something to do with the signal. Maybe we're now getting two overlapping regions, or they've changed the standards - again - to accommodate more channels?

Try using the 'transmitter checker' on the right of this page

Radio & Television Investigation Service - Lost DAB radio reception

...which also provides tips about what could be the problem if it isn't the transmitter.
