holly steele on britains got talent - from accy...
who saw the lil girl go through to the final from accrington?
messed up her first audition and then went through after getting a second chance to perform infront of the judges....

She was very good but didn't have enough of a gimmick to win, have you noticed how all the winners have a gimmick that makes them a cut above the rest? Paul Potts won off his fantastic performance. George Samson used that "dancing in the rain" gimmick that won him the finals and then Diversity won because of the gimmicks of forming that transformer/robot then the superman angle. Hollie may have won if she flew down on a wire dressed as peter pan or tinkerbell or some at'! But that may have been too much for her poor nerves. Darth Jackson should have won but his dancing wasn't that good!Last edited by kestrelx; 10-06-2009 at 17:19. |

Once a opera type act won the first one it would be hard for another one to win it. Paul Potts gimmick I suppose was to sing like Pavorotti, as soon as I heard him I thought he'd win - because his performance was bang on and the song is in the national psyche after Italia 90. Susan Boyle did a fantastic performance also.
I thought Hollie Steele might win, But when I saw Diversity do that Transformer and then the superman I knew they were going to win and I didn't want them to win. Last edited by kestrelx; 11-06-2009 at 11:59. Reason: changes |

Yeh he did the same piece for the final as he did for the semi's - bit boring to win. Lke Stavros Flatley the gimmick went a bit flat! Know what I mean?

I wonder how much they get paid? Julian should have played "Songbird" by Kenny G - that would have been an improvement!
