World record attempt

I've had an idea which may or may not work. It's an idea which may put Accrington Web on the map so's to speak and get us some publicity.

Let's try to get a place in the Guinnes book of records! It's not as daft as it sounds. The record that I'm suggesting is to write a book with the most number of authors. The way I see it working is that we would all write a paragraph and then develop the story together so that it actually made sense and followed some sort of path. If it started to take off I'm pretty sure that the local papers would pick up on our attempt and which in turn would increase the number of new members and therefore the number of people who would start to participate. We could also start to ask some well known authors to contribute and add to it. We'd have to take it fairly seriously and not thread wander and/or allow moderators to delete random posts etc if we went off the point, so.....

....first thing - does anyone else think it's a goer?

Would the book have to be published and sold to qualify as a book?.....if it has then we may just come unstuck.

Once upon a time there was a little girl called Gayle, now Gayle like many, many other little girls had a dream. But not for her was it kissing frogs or knights in shining armour, no, her dream was to unite the enchanted land of accyweb in a goal, a quest, that would cause every-one involved torment taking them beyond the bounds of sleep depraved days of terror and wonderous thought.

Could we, dare we, even contemplate the Guinness book of records without losing what little sanity we have?
