Hello Everone
Hi, My names Geoff, and new to the forum this evening.
Just a brief background for you. Born Roughlee Christmas Eve 1946 ( first baby at Christmas I was told ), early years lived Harcourt Road and went to Peel Park School ( both Infants and junior ), moved up Burnley Road next to my favorite teams Peel Park ground, and eventually ended up in Bash. Played footy with Baxenden Utd for quite a few years. Eventually moved away with work to Boston ( Lincs ) in 1987, and again with work in 1990 to Lancaster, where I am now. I miss Accrington and it's people, and hope to keep in touch through the forum. Many thanks for reading. |

Funny I lived in Boston (Lincs) from 1976 to 1986. Near the Cem down Marion Road past the Fire Station. Also use to play for Spring Hill WMC, must have been about the same time as you played with "Bash". I may have legged you up a few times ;D ;D |

Hi Darby, It's an excellent forum, with a lot of warmth. I know where you mean in Boston, I lived in Ruskington but worked in Boston for a certain Household textile company ( still do ). Hmm Springhill WMC !!! we had some cracking games against them, most memorable winning 5-4 away up Springhill, I got floored by my own centre half ( I kept goal ) he clobbered me square on the chin :P instead of your centre forward. Brilliant, nice to meet you and welcome to the forum. [smiley=wave.gif]
