Hello Everyone
Hello my name is debra
although I don't live in Lancashire I am from Shropshire but my parents and their generations come from Lancashire and Yorkshire my mums side of the family are from Rossingdale and my dad's side family have generations from Baxenden the reason i have joined is that I'm doing my family tree so if anyone can help i would be grateful I will put details on the history post I work as a carer and i do natural therapies. In september i am thinking of coming around baxenden to look at my family places would be interesting to see in my ancester's footsteps. looking forward to meet you all |

thankyou very much i would be very interested in stories i have some very old pictures some of ww1 i think east lancashire reg and some old nelson swimming team from 1920s and cricket team etc wonder if the musueum would be interested i will bring them along

The museum would certainly be interested in your photos and if you don't want to donate them they will make a copy of them and it is well worth a visit

Am surprised that Atarah hasn't posted onto Debra's thread. An hour in the library will be of great benefit when you do come up here Debra. They will be interested in your photos - esp if you can meet John Simpson in there. Also look in the Town Hall to see if they have copies of a book on Bash ( Baxenden). If wanting more info on your family, use the friends & family section to ask your questions.
