Hello from Devon
I found this site while looking for Joseph Briggs, so although I don't live in Accrington, I hope you don't mind me visiting here. I was born in Oldham. My mother is from Accrington as was her parents and grandparents and back they were the Barlows. I think they were quite well known,one was a mayor. My grandfather George Douglas and his father James and his father Daniel were all joiners. If anyone comes across anything about the family while doing any research I would love to know. I don't need any census info thankyou. Iam interest in things like newspaper snippets or adverts and photographs.

Welcome Carol. You don't really need to have lived in Accrington to enjoy the site...and you do have connections to the town.
