Hello from South Australia
I was born in Accrington in 1949. Lived there and Oswaldtwistle till we left for Australia in 1965. Been here ever since. My parent Ron and Dorothy moved back to live in Clitheroe after many years over here. They both died and are buried there.
Don't think I'd know the town now. I believe where I used to live in Richmond St has been demolished. My memories are of living in a row of houses facing onto one of the mills. I went to Accrington High school for girls, left after taking my O levels in 1965. Cheers from Oz  |
