I thought I remembered seeing her obituary, but was not sure.
I knew her as Miss Croston....she was my third year form teacher...my English teacher and art teacher.
She was a really lovely lady.

Marge, was this lass the teacher that we talked about in an earlier post where her female pupils bought her a present because she was very upset at the flack,abuse, whatever, that she suffered from the lads in our class that were not much younger than she was ?

Yes Taddy.
We were her first class after she qualified as a teacher.
And yes, she got a lot of aggro from the likes of Roy Wallace and Patrick Varley.
She was only very slight with curly auburn hair.
I liked her a lot.
She tried to get my dad to let me stay on at school to do GCE’s.
