newbie

Found this site few days ago and it really does jog the old memory. Lawrence Brennand born 1944 Roughlee, lived Arncliffe Avenue from 2 year old for many years. Went to Springhill--Spencer and Whittaker time. Spent much of wasted youth in Ossy--regular at Empire. Still have photo of Acc Grammar School total school 1960 but lost touch with all friends. Lived in Southport now many many years.

Re: newbie

Thanks for the welcome. Yes wasted somewhat--was one of the "teddy boys" but was it fun.

Re: newbie

Hi, welcome to the site. I am a former Grammar School pupil too, 1965 to 1971. Bob Dobson is also on this site and is connected with the AGSOBs, so he should be able to point you in the direction of your old friends.

Welcome - I was a regular at the Empire Ossy too.
I don't recognise you, but I am 2 or 3 yrs older than you, so wouldn't have looked at you twice

Re: newbie

You will be hearing from me Brennand. There are several 1955ers in the Old Boys.

Happy memories of Accy. Grew up there for the first 33 years, then emigrated to Canada. Not sure it was the best thing but here I am.
