the guy who advertises in the paper to buy original flag stones' for good prices' and if so what did he pay (average) and is he 'on the level' if you like ??
I have original york stone flags in my back yard ( those big heavy things) that have been there for decades, twice my yard has been broken into and I have 6 nicked - thats obviously all they could carry - so I am going to cash in and buy some new ones as they are not worth the hassle of replacing a new back gate, locks and tools every time some one feels like pinching them and breaking in.

I have noticed a lot of York stone flags have been stolen recently in my area (Church Kirk) are the Police and the Council aware of these thefts and what are they doing about it?:mad:

my pals flags were stolen off owen street this past week

what the morons didnt realize is the expensive ones that are worth money were taken out years ago and replaced with cheap ones that they will get naff all for when they try selling them

they were also caught on video so sooner or later these dumb asses are going to get caught because lets face it they aint the sharpest tools in the box they cant even tell good stuff from worthless stuff

they were stolen in broad daylight posing as workmen so they have balls but if you do see someone tearing out flagstones please ring the police as a precaution and get them caught

Just heard today that the Police have arrested suspects and seized their vehicle regarding the stone flag thefts in Church. :thankya:
