18th Presents

Turn 18 in early May and have started to be asked what I want for it - and I haven't a clue.

Got 3 "main" presents to think of -

One from parents(approx £100-£250)

One from aunties + uncles clubbed together(approx £60-£90)

One from girlfriend(approx £40-£100).

Would rather get stuff that will last sort of thing, parents want to get me something to keep for a life time such as jewellery or something. Aunties and uncles can be anything really and so can the one from girlfriend.

So then... what do I want ?

Re: 18th Presents

For family, nephews etc I always buy them premium bonds, costs £100 but it is there for life, and always chance of a win, but I usually buy gold items for my own kids.

I was going to suggest a bottle or two of black sambuca. But by the sounds of it jewellary would be the best bet.

I was also going to say premium bonds or get some as part present once you have your first £100 worth you can buy in smaller quantities.

What would I say SamF ? .. 'spoilt little brat', if indeed you don't know what you need as opposed to what you want !! Just love the way you have put the price tag on everything...

Think as you are not in dire need of anything, Grego's advice is of the best, as never know later in life when it could be required.

Please do not take offence at my comments .. after all.. what did I buy my 25 year old son for his 18th ? .. a bl**dy Fiat Punto, that's what .. spoilt little brat .....

When did I say anything about needing anything ? o_O

And as to the price tags it was simply so people don't go suggesting things that are too high in price - to take your son as an example - a car. By putting a price range on it gives an idea at what we're talking about o_O
