Kidney for sale?

Would you sell a kidney £25,000?

BBC NEWS | UK | England | Lancashire | Taxi driver puts kidney for sale

Taxi driver offers to sell kidney on internet - Lancashire Evening Post

A taxi driver from Lancashire has put his kidney up for sale as he struggles to cope with the "biting recession". William Henderson is willing to sell the organ for £25,000 and has advertised it on the internet.

The recession has been hitting everyone hard. If he genuinely wanted to help a child come off dialysis then he'd donate it .. not ask for £25,000

I couldn't believe this when I first read it I thought it was a wind up, he might be short of cash, but all his financial problems could be over if the operation goes wrong, but at leas he'll be able to afford a decent funeral. There is a risk with any operation, so why do this for money

Seeing as it is illegal to sell human organs in the UK does he think he will be allowed to do this?

What happens though 10/15 years down the line could be even longer and his one remaining kidney fail .. he has to go on dialysis and depend on someone else donating their kidney .. is he going to pay for a kidney then?

good luck to him , if he can go outside the UK and get 25 grand for HIS kidney and save somones life in the process then whats the harm.I would give serious thought to selling my kidney if i was offered 50 grand for it if it meant securing my future.

i think hes selling it a bit cheap , desperate peopel with money will pay anything to avoid death and in these cases its a sellers market , he can only ever sell one so he shoudl get as much as possible for it

wether you think it moraly wrong or not its no ones buisness except his and his buyers and if teh only way out for him is to go through with this then good luck to him

those who think it wrong could give one of theri kidneys away for free if they want to save lives:)

More like we are still influenced by Thatcherism, and the free market economy. Meaning you sell everything you have, and sod the future implications.

I recently had my golden tresses trimmed, so any baldies who'd like to make a gorgeous syrup, or anyone wanting to stuff a cushion with something a little more unusual, make me an offer.
