photo comp

I know I've been away for a while but what has happened to the photo competition as I used to really enjoy it. Did people get bored or did we run out of topics?

any chance of a revival?

Re: photo comp

There was / still is a problem as far as i know with memory and uploads each member is allowed a certain amount of space in the gallery to upload photos.
it now seams most members have now run out of space to upload too
i asked Roy if he could change this allocation but as he is very busy with his business he has not got back to me to let me know he has sorted it out.
so as far as i know we still have a problem.

I blame the admins, they spend far to much time in pie shops, subway and pubs and neglect the forum leaving us poor hard working mods to get all the abuse :rofl38::rofl38:

why can't we use photobucket/FlickR/etc and embed the piccys/links in a post. not quite as easy as it used to be but workable.

Re: photo comp

From what I remember the gallery software allows you to vote on the photos so is ideal for the competition.

You can still attach pictures to posts no problem at all. The issue is with the gallery which is an addon to the forum software.

The gallery is throwing an error like this

Quote:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 9088 bytes) in /home/accringt/public_html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 116
which looks like a php memory allocation error but my knowledge of php memory allocation is not vast. I have written quite a bit of php stuff for work so am not a complete novice :D
