crown green bowling & lunch
Does anyone know of a pub where I can go for lunch and have a game of crown green bowls preferably around Burnley ,Hapton way . Some friends are visiting and we think this will be a nice afternoon.

If you end up going to one of the parks in Accrington make sure you know the number or have a key to unlock the bowling greens. If you don't just contact HBC and they will have to provide you with it

Thanks for that Neil but we may need a toilet and we would not have access to one. I did think of Mercer Park but a key is needed to gain access to toilet in Mercer House

How about?
Burnley Road Bowling Green Club BB5 6DW and then round the corner to the Peel Park BB5 6EW |
Re: crown green bowling & lunch
There are bowling greens at the bottom of Barden Lane in Burnley near the canal and across the road is the Kingfisher café which is right on the canal side with a balcony to sit on looking across to Pendle. Lovely on a sunny day.
