I'm puzzled by the site. First thought -an old tip but the ground looks rocky and the bottles are on the surface?

After surveying the area I believe the bottles are on the surface due to foxes, rabbits, kids or others digging.
The site has to be a old dumping ground 1900's onwards I would I say

Re: Anyone know about bottles?

Well, it looks like someone else has found the bottle dump.
I went there this morning and there are giant holes dug into the embankment.
Personally,I couldn't give a flying about the holes but there are broken bottles everywhere which is dangerous to wildlife and dogs/walkers.
I came home and told our peg who started giving me the "Right, no more bottles" :(

She also lectured me about how the police could try an deem it "theft by finding" and "criminal damage" for the holes
So if anyone recognising the bottles or knows their true owner please PM me and I'll return them asap (for a small cleaning fee).

Be interested to know how you left the site after your excavations and scavenging AccyX
Did you leave holes and signs of ecavation drawing attention to the site for other tip rats?
Were the holes you left not a hazard to other people?
