Dry cleaner

I'm in need of a good dry cleaner in Accrington or nearby.
I spilt a bowl of mushy peas down the front of a good dark blue jacket.
I managed to salvage the peas and had them with chips but my jacket is a mess.
Can anybody recommend a dry cleaner who won't ruin the jacket?
Last one I used, which I won't name, made a right mess of a good quality coat.
Thanks for reading and any help.

Have you tried the one next door to Swinton on Whalley Road?

I've tried none yet Frank.
I was hoping for suggestions on here.
Now you've told me about one I will go and find it on Monday.
Thanks.

I can't remember the last time I used a dry cleaner.
I try to buy stuff tat will go into the washer.
Heck even some of my winter jackets get cleaned in the washer.
Well, except for my best navy blue cashmere coat from M&S...But I don't wear that often, and when I do, I am very careful(even though I didn't pay full price for the coat).

I haven't used one for a long time either Margaret, that's why I was asking.
The last time I used one they made a mess of a jacket so I wont be going back there.
The jacket I would like cleaned says "Dry clean only" on the label and was one of those so called "Bargains" at Boundary Mil. Cost £40 but had numerous labels on starting at £175.
Who do they think they are kidding?
The jacket is still on the back seat of my car so I'll drop it of on Monday when I go down to Arndale to do my shift in the Blind Society Bookshop.
I didn't know the one near Swinton insurance was still open.

Yes Frank. She hummed and aahd so much about one thing and another I came away.

I had put my green bin out filled with grass and got a bit just below the breast pocket of my blue jacket.
I went back home and my friend gently washed it off with lightly soaped water. Good as new for nothing.

Is that the 'eco-friendly' cleaners? My experience with them was not great. I sent some curtains to be cleaned, when I picked them up, they were wrapped in polythene, when I unwrapped them they were still very damp. I hung them as I couldn't do anything else with them, but even hanging they took about another 3 days to completely dry! I spoke to the lady in the shop and she said that was normal for curtains!

A friend of mine took a jacket into the one on Whalley Road, Acorn I think it's called now - it was £9.50 & they want you to pay up front - maybe they've had a lot of stuff not being collected but what happens if they've not done a good job & you've already paid
