Until recently I could open this forum up on my mobile phone and because I had previously ticked the “Remember my password” box I could get straight into the site.
Now, without any input from me, Tapatalk has started appearing and I have to delete it before I can log on again and enter my name and password.
What’s Tapatalk and can you tell me how to make it go away completely.

Re: Tapatalk

Tapatalk is an app for viewing forums on phones and tablets instead of using your web browser.
Don’t know if you can stop it nagging you.

Re: Tapatalk

Just tried it on my phone and on first visit I get a tapatalk message but once logged in it hasn`t come back since.
If it`s an Iphone, check autofill names and passwords is enabled - Setings > safari > autofill

Re: Tapatalk

I have tried all that already gpick.
Whats most annoying is having to log on evertime I open this web site after deleting Tapatatalk.
Normally I just open the site on my iphone 6S and I'm straight in.
It happened a while back but after a few weeks Tapatalk dissapeared.
Maybe if I wait again it will go away.

Re: Tapatalk

Only other thing I can think of is cookie settings, there is a block all cookies option in safari settings, if that’s on you’ll have to log in at each visit.

Re: Tapatalk

Having to log in every time only happens when Tapatalk appears first. It straight in when it doesnt show up.
And I dont have block all cookie turned on.

i used to prefer tapatalk on mobile devices...... though i am annoyed how long it was a paid app and when i finally bought it, it became free to use and then they made it worse

But how can I get rid of it in my iPhone.

Re: Tapatalk

Russell, I would be very tempted to take it back to factory settings.
(Not that I know anything at all about smartphones)
If it irritated me so much then I would do it. Repopulating my phone would be the price I had to pay to get rid of an imbuggerance.
The other alternative is to take it back to the shop and ask their advice on getting shut of Tapatalk

Re: Tapatalk

I’ve had the iPhone 6s a while now MARGARET.
The Tapatalk thing has appeared before in the past and mysteriously disappeared after a couple of months.
It started popping up again and all I do is click the delete button and this website is ready to log into again.
I’ve Googled for an answer and it has been suggested its server thing.
It’s just annoying having to log in with my details every time. When Tapatalk isn’t there my log in details are remembered and I’m straight in to this site.
I’ll live with it a bit longer and see if it goes away on its own like it did before.

Re: Tapatalk

I always pop in the shop if i got a prob, i know sod all about technology, plus my memorys well knackered now, so its no good anyone telling me or showing, cos its forgotten in no time, the 02 shop always sort me out and dont bother.

Restless 13-12-2017 19:37

Re: Tapatalk

its not something you can get rid of... its a popup from the website itsself

Re: Tapatalk

Excuse me for asking what mght seem to be a silly question(I do not have a smartphone...why would I have something smarter than me?) but can't pop ups be blocked on a phone like they can on a computer?

That’s the annoying thing MARGARET and why I started this thread.
Pop ups are blocked on my iPhone.

Margaret Pilkington 14-12-2017 16:51

Re: Tapatalk

I would be seeking advice from your service provider Russell.

Gremlin 14-12-2017 16:57

Re: Tapatalk

If it was a serious problem to do with the providers service I would be straight on the phone to them.
This is something I want to sort myself, albeit with online help.
Hopefully it will just disappear like before.

Re: Tapatalk

Russell, it would do my box in.
I find my tolerance levels fall every day. Maybe it is my age.

Oh well it was a thought

Re: Tapatalk

Well what a surprise.
Today when I opened this site I was straight without Tapatalk popping up.
My name and password was also remember.

I have done absolutely nothing different or altered any settings.
Mystery why it happened though.

Re: Tapatalk

Glad to hear it has left you for pastures anew Russell.
