Re: a question for you

If you just had one piece of cabbage/onion/carrot from a tub of coleslaw, I'm guessing it doesn't count as three of your five daily fruit and veg portions.

According to the Healthy Heart bods unless your apples are one red and one green/golden they only count as one!

Re: a question for you

It usually says on the packaging. Unless you've made it yourself as Flashy does. But I would imagine that one portion of coleslaw = one of your five a day (although saying that how big is a portion???)

There' an extra benefit that come from eating things like cole slaw, cottage cheese, saurkraut, yogurt, etc. These types of items are filled with acidophyls (sp?) which are a huge boost to the good bacteria in the intestines. Helps us out in all kinds of ways especially with digestion and cancer prevention!
