Question Another Mobey Q

How long does a simcard last unused for a while now as i got another phone for own use & now wish to use it for my community group contact, ive just put my old sim in & last i had was 79p credit now its not working altho comes up at start with Vodaphone provider surely they dont cut it off & had no letter or mail terminating it or are they time limited?

Is the sim an old vodaphone one ? I think quite a few suppliers used to have ( and may still do) a situation where by if you didn't buy more credit within a certain amount of time the sim was discontinued until you bought some more.

Ah so that might be it so means i would have to put a fiver on it to activate it & gawd even stranger than that i found a really old one to one sim [t mobile]

& both deacivated

Thing is i need it more for imcoming that outgoing usage lol

They all work differently. With Virgin if you don't send a text or make a call for 180 days then they discontinue the number.

I had a T-Mobile phone which I hadn't used for the 180 days and to reactivate it cost me £10....there was still £11:39 credit on the phone....I asked what would happen to this if I didn't reactivate it....well, of course they keep it don't they.....at least Dick Turpin wore a mask!

Ther has been a chap on the Thursday market who has been selling Vodafone sim cards for one pound......and there is one pound credit on them....so in essence they are free! You can't get cheaper than that!
