Lightbulb are these worth anything ?

right, before I begin, let me explain...
as you will be aware we are having a little baby and the spare room is being turned into the nursery - now in this room were 2 wall lights - from goodness knows when (when we bought the house it still had/still has all the original features and fittings including lights), anyway, I have taken the wall lights off the wall and had a look at them..other half thinks they may be worth something but I dont know to be honest...did anyone else have these lights from years back?
after taking them apart and cleaning them they appear to be stainless steel ?...with the white glass shade with that red bauble on the end?...like I have said goodness knows how long they were on the wall for as the house was like walking back in time when we first bought it...and those lights...well i have no idea how old they are ?
and if they are worth anything who buys these sorts of things cos I dont have a clue ??

any info would be appreciated as I dont just wanna chuck em away...

p.s sorry to admin if this is in the wrong bit but I am asking a question..

They are late fifties, early sixties, and were very mod at the time.

If you sold them at a London market you could ask between £25-40 quid each, I suspect.

Like other people said, putting them on eBay will give you a wide an audience as possible...and hopefully someone who is doing their flat up in a fifties, space race, kitsch style, will snap 'em up.

Good luck.

As Garinda says they look like they are from late 50's - early 60's....I remember having some wall lights in our living room that were very similar. Ma thought they were very trendy!
