Bob Dobson Books

Hi there,
I'm visiting Accrington in a week and wondering if anybody knows if I can buy Bob Dobson's books in bookstores or if they are only available on Amazon.
Thanks for any tips on this

Re: Bob Dobson Books

With the loss of Ann Parkin's shop, the books I have published are difficult to find, as I have had no sucess in persuading WHSmith's to stock them. Maybe the library have some, or the Tourism Office in the Town hall. I have a few of Accrington's Changing face, plenty of Accrington Acclaimed, a few of Accrington's Public Transport, plenty of Oswaldtwiostle Observed, plenty of Huncoat Uncoated, very few of Rishton Remembered. Also a couple of secondhand Moorfield Pit Disaster and of Winnie Bridge's book on Gt Harwood. Contact me on:

Re: Bob Dobson Books

Bob, would Ossy Mills not agree to stock them? They have a stall with local books.

I will enquire. Some years ago I had a fall-out with a company who may be now own the Ossie Mills franchise. My attempts at reconciliation were u8nsuccessful then. To be honest, I have lost a lot of enthusiasm for the new books side of my business. I prefer to concentrate on secondhand books, specialising in Lancashire-interest ones.
