Have noticed that King uses the same phrases in many books, to describe sommat, or empasise a situation. It aint plagiarism, heck it’s his own work, smacks of laziness tho.

I only read the one Koontz as mentioned earlier, got a new one last Christmas that is still unopened - The Darkest Evening of the Year. Will give that a shot for my next read.

Re: Bookworms: What are you reading at the moment?

Ohhh right, lol. Im so 'UNAWARE'
I'm just about to start reading a new book
Paradise with Serpents - Travels in the lost world of Paraguay by Robert Carver. I'm hoping its a good read.
I might have a go at reading the Classics that seems a brilliant idea.

I always read about three or four books at once. At the moment I'm reading The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky and Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. Also breezing through a collection of poems in English by Joseph Brodsky.

Re: Bookworms: What are you reading at the moment?

I read ´Spike´ a few months ago and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, it is so hard to come by new books here in Tenerife and we have to rely on the book swaps in the local bars. I can´t remember the last time that I had a brand new book all to myself.

I´m not really moaning as it´s better than nothing but the choice is limited and you tend to pick one up that looks good only to find that you read it last year.

On my list of things I miss..........Tesco.com, Marksies and W H Smith!! Almost forgot steak pud all in!
