I thought the advice was Youngs cod in batter/breadcrumbs.

Re: Fish? and Chips
we've been byuying the Vietnamese River Cobbler that Tesco sell. Just dust in seasoned flour and fry for a couple of minutes and its lovely. delicate flesh with a nice haddock-esque taste. Never had a bone in it either.
Its also dead cheap at ~£2.50 a lb.
I've also used it in a Thai fish curry with some mussels, king prawns spinach and peppers and it was delicious.

I quess the toxic waste adds a lttle flavor ... I think I mentioned this before, but when I was young ... oh, so many moons ago ... we used to call the Hyndburn, the Stink; so that is probably a no no for fishing. There must be somewhere you guys can fish. I can't imagine life without fishing ... or fishing without a cooler full of beer

Best we can hope for is for Asda to move the frozen fish into the beer aisle.
