Re: Hambledon Hill

Follow the Kings Highway from Huncoat, with the quarry on your left. At the top of the hill overlooking the bypass take the path on your left and carry on. With the reservoir and Hameldon on your left you reach a wooden gate across the track. Over this and then follow the path to the left hugging the stone wall. After a few hundred yards you`ll find a stile which takes you on the path to the top of Hameldon.

Where does that actually start? I know it's somewhere at the top of Burnley Road, but not sure where it is.

Re: Hambledon Hill

At the roundabout just after the Griffin pub, it used to be the local dogging spot.... apparently!

Don't know much about that.

Thanks for the information. I might have a drive round there one weekend and have a walk up. It's been a long time since I went round that way.

Plantation st.-arden hall(cobbled path)-up past the lodges(using the road/track)-through slate pits farm(they don't usually mind as long as you close all gates after you)-up moleside moor-streight accross top of the moor...look up...you're there!
